At the island's north tip a plateau extends from ~22 m at the reef base down to ~35 m at the northern edge. Nutrient, rich currents from the north make marine life here extremely rich. Drop slightly below the lip to find caves and chimneys big enough to swim through, plus long whip corals reaching into the blue. Turtles often patrol the drop, off, and the wall is draped in gorgonians and soft coral.
