Small Giftun

A drift is recommended here, following the usual north, to, south current. The dive begins along a wall with soft corals and gorgonians, then a shelf appears and widens until the top reef wall turns west and the plateau begins. A few minutes later you reach a small "peninsula" at 27 m, with a tunnel running through about 15 m deeper (ceiling at ~43 m, floor at ~55 m, beyond recreational limits). Heading back, a beautiful plateau of coral blocks hosts scorpionfish, free, swimming morays, and a big napoleon wrasse.
